Far Far Away is a recently renovated guest house located directly between Chester and Mahone Bay; a ten minute drive in either direction and 25 minutes to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg.
The guest house shares a driveway with an early 1900s home and has oodles of privacy in the backyard.
The guest house is quaint and suited ideally for a couple but can sleep three with a day bed in the spare room off the kitchen; the room serves as an office or second bedroom. The space is open concept with dark wood floors throughout and a contemporary colour palette of greys and white. The bathroom is completely new and offers a stand up shower. Off the kitchen is a french door that leads to the backyard and large patio complete with outside furniture and BBQ bar. With the help of foliage and fencing the backyard offers a lot of privacy and gets all the morning and early afternoon sun -- perfect for enjoying a first cup of coffee or morning yoga.
A welcome package awaits your arrival; wifi is available on site as well as cable TV and DVD player. The kitchen is complete with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, stove top espresso maker (Starbucks espresso provided) and all the necessities for making a meal -- although i'm not sure who plans on cooking during their vacation. Far Far Away is no mansion but sure to win you over.
The property directly connects to the provincial Rails to Trails hiking/cycling trail two mountain bikes are provided. Two mountain bikes are provided. The surrounding areas offer, live theatre, sailing, flea markets, whale watching tours, sea kayaking tours, white sand beaches various farmers markets, horse and carriage rides, cafes, pubs, art galleries, golfing, spas (just 30 seconds to Oak Island Resort), and even on-site private wine tastings.
A 50% deposit will be required to book your reservation and the remaining balance is to be paid upon arrival. Rates are based on a 7 day rental but length of stay can be adjusted to your needs based on availability.
